Pediatric Surgery Fellowship

Thank you for your interest in the pediatric surgery fellowship program at the University of Chicago Medicine. This two-year fellowship is an ACGME-accredited program that consists of extensive clinical and surgical training in pediatric general surgery, including trauma, ECMO, oncology, congenital abnormalities, minimally invasive surgery, subspecialty and critical care services.

Applicants must have completed training in general surgery and be eligible to take the qualifying examination in general surgery given by the American Board of Surgery or the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. Interested applicants should apply to the program via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Applicants are then invited to interview on one of the following dates in 2014: January 8, February 5, and March 5. Interviews are coordinated with the Northwestern University and Milwaukee programs. One fellow is selected each year through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). The program start date is July 1st of every year, and the end date is June 30th of the second year.
