Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Welcome to the Section of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Chicago. We hope that our site will provide you with a clear vision of who we are and what we are doing to further our mission of:
- Providing compassionate and superior healthcare
- Advancing plastic surgery through research and innovation
- Training the futures leaders of plastic surgery in a collegial setting.
The Section of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Chicago Medical Center provides a broad range of surgical services to people suffering from the compromising effects of injury or disease as well as to those wishing to modify a certain physical feature. In most cases, the section's staff - comprised of plastic surgeons and other health care experts - employ a multidisciplinary approach that addresses each patient's special needs.
Our plastic and reconstructive surgeons are well-educated and skilled in their respective areas of expertise. Each surgeon in the section has received preliminary training in general surgery followed by additional specialized training in plastic surgery. Several surgeons have completed post-graduate fellowships beyond their plastic surgery training in the areas of hand, craniofacial and aesthetic surgery.
These pages give you a brief overview of the Plastic and Reconstructive services and procedures available at the University of Chicago Medical Center. We welcome your questions and inquiries about plastic and reconstructive surgery.
