The University of Chicago Department of Surgery proudly participated in the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Clinical Congress 2025, held October 4–7 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The annual conference brought together surgeons from around the world to exchange ideas, present research, and explore the latest innovations shaping the future of surgical care.
Our department was well represented, with numerous faculty and trainees delivering outstanding presentations and showcasing the breadth of academic excellence across our surgical specialties.
In collaboration with Northwestern Medicine, Loyola University Health System, and Rush University Medical Center, the department co-hosted the ACS Joint Chicago Cocktail Reception at the Marriott Marquis. The event drew a strong turnout and offered a wonderful opportunity for networking, collegiality, and celebration within the Chicago surgical community.
