We are thrilled to share that Dr. Mecker Moller was honored with the prestigious Visiting Professorship by the Latino Surgical Society and the Association of Women Surgeons. Dr. Moller served as the first co-sponsored annual Visiting Professor, enhancing the visibility of Latino surgeons and serving as a role model for Latinx medical students and trainees.
Dr. Moller delivered lectures on advocating for women and minorities in surgery, global surgery, surgical education, international collaborations, developing peritoneal carcinomatosis programs, and racial health disparities research. We are excited by this recognition of Dr. Moller’s contributions and her efforts to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in surgery.
